In 1935, Mel and Jen’s grandfather opened the first fur store in Hong Kong. Mel and Jen were inevitably influenced by their grandfather’s passion. They were surrounded by fur throughout their childhood. For the girls, however, their love for interesting, luxurious items extended beyond fur. They were exposed to appreciate all types of beautiful items. They trained in ceramics, oil painting, Chinese painting, and calligraphy. While Mel attended university to study History of Art, Jen spent her time refining her fine arts skills.
Mel continued to pursue her varied design interests and continued studies at Parson's School of Design, New York. Jen received further training at the renowned FIT in NY and worked alongside a famed American couturier. In Paris, Jen worked at Christian Dior and spent many hours absorbing the art on the streets and in the museums. After three years in the city, Jen was ready to return to HK and used her past adventures to design luxurious products ranging from jewellery to fur. Having been back for eleven years, Jen’s jewellery designs have earned awards including an award from Perles de Tahiti. Her fur designs are often worn by celebrities.
Jen and Mel have created this store to share some of their favorite designs. The store is a selection of fur products and fashion accessories designed and handcrafted in house.
